Latest Practice Survey results – Jan 2026
We regularly gather patient feedback through the national Friends and Family Test, and we are pleased to now introduce our own in-house Practice Survey, which will be shared with patients every six months. This will help us gain more detailed insights and continue improving our services.
To date (end of March 2026), we have received 2,327 responses to the Friends and Family Test. When asked:
“Thinking about your recent visit to the practice, how was your experience of our service?”
Patients responded as follows:
- Very good: 1,882 (80.8%)
- Good: 308 (13.2%)
- Neither good nor poor: 61 (2.6%)
- Poor: 36 (1.5%)
- Very poor: 27 (1.2%)
- Don’t know: 13 (0.6%)
These results are very encouraging, and we are grateful for the positive feedback from our patients. We also carefully review all comments, particularly where expectations have not been fully met, so that we can learn and make improvements.
By introducing our own Practice Survey, we aim to gather more detailed feedback and ensure we continue to provide the highest possible standard of care.
In particular, we wanted to hear about patient’s feedback around
- Our expanded building to increase clinical space and improve patient flow through our ‘On the day Unit’ surgery extension
- The appointment system in general
- Our expanded Paramedical team – Physician Assistants, Paramedics, Physiotherapists etc
- Our increased Salaried GP provision
- Our increased Clinical Pharmacist team provision
- Reception
- Phone system
- Pharmacy first
- Online access – clinic and admin queries online 24/7
- Overall experience
- Gripes/concerns
- Positive feedback
The final results are found in the link below
Patient survey results – Jan 26
The themes that we are taking away from these results to work on, albeit still overwhelmingly positive are:
- Further promotion of Pharmacy First and where the local Pharmacy can see patients without having to book an appointment with a GP or other
- Patient education regarding where an appointment with a GP isn’t always necessary
- Further promotion of the e-consulting option for 24/7 form entry for clinical and admin queries
- Advise patients of the role of our own Clinical Pharmacist team, helping deliver diabetic, hypertensive and lipid management along with medication reconciliation and support.
- Car park – in 2022 we expanded our parking significantly, providing further parking and cycling bays for our patients. We have now maximised our space and cannot add any further parking slots but do manage this where possible (ensuring cars aren’t left to park through the day/parked when not using the GP Practice/spacing clinics where possible). We also appreciate that parking restrictions in the village have tightened over the past few years.
We will run the survey again from June 2026 and see how these results compare and let our patients know the outcome.
Thankyou for all those that filled this out for us, the feedback has been really useful
